Casa Paraty
3 BR | 3 BA | SLEEPS 6
Owners Linda and Renato have been living at Greenpiece since they retired. Their dream was to invite people from all over the world to enjoy this beautiful vacation rental in Brazil, next to the Bocaina Mountains National Park, in a verdant, well-preserved valley.
Here, the air is 100% pollution-free, water is pure from the spring, and nature is on kaleidoscopic display: from the Atlantic Rainforest that surrounds you to the variety of colorful birds that soar over the property to feed on the fruit and raised tables that the owners built for them.
The interiors are equally as riotous: shocks of lime green, tangerine, and tomato red mingle with Van Gogh blues and honey-hued wood. The main house has soaring ceilings and is encircled by glass doors and screened windows so that it feels like you are in the middle of the forest.
The owners live in a third house which is on the land, but far enough away that guests have total privacy. They grow their own vegetables and swim in the river (it’s a two-minute walk down to the river and its friendly waterfalls). In the heart of Brazil’s ecological paradise, the greener life never seemed so abundant.
The main house, with two suites, was designed to integrate the house with the surrounding nature and offers beautiful views of the green valley. Across from the main house, just steps apart, there is a fully-equipped independent chalet. (This rental includes both the main house and chalet together.)
Only the chalet has a television, plus heating and air conditioning. The two rooms in the main house have ceiling fans and space heaters.
With two homes on a unique piece of land, Greenpiece is the perfect vacation rental in Brazil for reconnection to nature, reunions with friends and family, or to work on personal or professional projects.

PARATY
Greenpiece is only 10 minutes from Paraty, a municipality of Rio de Janeiro and one of the most beautiful small cities in Brazil. Originally settled by the Portuguese in the 17th century, the colonial city was a desirable port for sending gold to Rio. Charm still abounds, with its whitewashed buildings, cobblestoned streets, and restaurants serving caipirinha cocktails and authentic Brazilian cuisine.
Greenpiece is located half a mile from the Circuito Caminho do Ouro, or Gold Trail, tracks originally created by the Guaianazes Indians and expanded between the 17th and 19th centuries. They're surrounded in forest, with creeks and waterfalls, craft shops and restaurants.
UNESCO recently recognized the region as a natural and cultural heritage site, and near Paraty are some of the most picturesque beaches in the world, with white sand and unpolluted aquamarine water.
Attracting nature lovers, birdwatchers, and creative types, in particular, many flock for the cultural events such as Semana Santa (April), FLIP, the town’s international literary festival (July), and the bird festival of Paraty (October).
